My Skin Care Regimen

Hey everyone, I just thought that I would share my daily skin care regimen with you. It’s nothing fancy, but it is effective.

Every morning in the shower, I mix a drop of Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleaner with 2 drops of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.

I mix them together because the Cetaphil, by itself, does not really foam, but it is gentle enough to use in the morning, since the night before, I would have washed all my makeup off, and wouldn’t need a strong cleanser.

When I get out of the shower, I skip toner, and then moisturize with Cetaphil Moisturizing lotion mixing it with a little SkinCeuticals ultimate defense SPF30. I let that absorb into my face for about 15 minutes, before I apply my MAC Matte to my T-zone, and start my makeup application.

When, I am ready to wash off my makeup in the evening, I start by first washing my hands with antibacterial soap. So many people dont realize that their hands have been touching all kinds of things throughout the day that carry bacteria. Without washing your hands first, you are just putting all that nastiness on your face.

After I wash my hands, I then take a half a pump of the Biore Bleish Fighting Ice Cleanser and some warm water and rub it all over my face, neck, and ears just to loosen up the makeup.

I then, rinse my face completely (that was the pre wash). Then I take another half pump of the cleanser into a clean face towel and warm water and lightly scrub all over my face, neck, and ears. This should remove the makeup completely. Once that is done, I take  a pea size amount of the Cetaphil and rub it into my skin and rinse with cool water (your face should feel extremely clean at this point and not dry at all).  The reason that I end with the Cetaphil cleanser is because the Biore cleanser is strong enough to get out all the dirt and makeup, but it can leave your skin feeling a bit dry.

I then use the Neutrogena Clear Pore Astringent with a cotton ball and rub only on areas that I am usually oily.

This would remove any dirt or debris, that remains on the face. It would also tighten your pores.

Then moisturize my face with Cetaphil Moisturizing lotion. It is a lightweight, non greasy lotion. Many people are under the misconception that if you have oily skin to combination skin  (which I do), then you can skip moisturizing. This is not true. I have tried it myself and I realize that if I skip moisturizing then my skin initially will feel really dry, and then try to overcompensate for the lack of oil, by producing a lot of oil. So if you have combination to oily skin, please choose a lightweight moisturizer that works for you and MOISTURIZE.

Also don’t forget your eye cream once you are in your early 20s to prevent crows feet and wrinkles around the eye area (Vaseline works as well) and while your at it a little Vaseline on your lips as well to prevent chapping.

That’s it for my daily regimen, like I said before, it’s nothing fancy, but very effective.
